Weekend Wrap Up/Monday Morning Gossip Link Up

Happy Monday!

Linking up with Leeanne @ Join the Gossip for this weeks MMG :)

I hope your weekend was better than mine, b/c to be honest, mine/ours kind of sucked.

Let's digress, shall we?

Friday, I got paid, which was great, but after getting a few things, I only had a few dollars left. EEK! I ran to Tim Horton's to grab some coffee, read and have a snack.

FYI: Their Maple Biscuit is amazing. Just sayin. Because we don't have a lot of money, I only bought one magazine...Woman's World. Love it. I met up with our new Pastor (of Students and Youth/Young Adults)'s wife, at Starbucks. We had a nice time. Then I grabbed something to eat for us. I found a $20 deal at Little Caeser's. With us, it is a good deal, b/c two pizzas can last us a few meals. And I also got chicken wings. And garlic bread. Yum. I had a bath that night, and as I was coming out of the bathroom, I noticed that a leak that had been fixed years back, has now started leaking. Oh goody. 3 hours an…

Linking up with Jenna for another issue of Currently.

Watching// Call the Midwife Season 3, and whatever else I have on loan from the library. I also want to get caught up on Hot In Cleveland Seasons 3 and 4.

Excited about// A new-to-us Cappicino machine that we bought today from our local thrift store. It didn't work, so hubby fixed it. A drink that cost under a dollar. The machine cost $15

Thinking About/Of// Thanksgiving. Yes, in Canada it is NEXT MONTH!!! I am very excited to see our niece. Oh, and my other siblings, too.

Missing// My sister is who is Far, Far Away. Thankfully, we have Skyped a few times. I am also missing our kitty lately. Especially at nighttime.

Listening To// My husband yelling at his computer...and Jack Ingram and Josh Turner CDs from the library, and Oceans (the song we sang yesterday in church) on YT.

Happy Sunday!

Linking up with Ashley for this weeks SS.

1. What is your favorite magazine to read?
In case you clearly don't know me, I am a bit of a magazine addict. I love magazines. I love People, US Weekly, and Woman's World. I love lots of others, too, though; Redbook, Cosmopolitan, Glamor, and Good Housekeeping, to name a few.

2. What is the best thing you’ve seen online lately?
Not sure what kind of a question this is...I have no idea...I did like that guy that was talking about his mom, that I think is pretty sweet. Can't find the link right now, though.

3. What is your favorite celebrity to follow on Instagram or Twitter?
IG: Trista Sutter, and Ivanka Trump (mostly bc their pictures always end up on my feed a lot).
Twitter: I have no clue. I love following People Magazine. And any of the Y&R cast that is on there.

4. Is there one article of clothing no matter what the season you can’t help but love?
 Yoga Pants. And PJ's.

5. Do you prefer email or snail mail?

Weekend Wrap Up/Monday Morning Gossip Link Up

Happy Tuesday!

I am a little late in joining Join The Gossip for this weeks Monday Morning Gossip, but since it's still open to link up, I thought I would link up (and blog about) our weekend.

Friday; hubby finished fixing the car! Yay! I had a very nice relaxing day, then I went to work. It was a good shift. We had a very yummy supper; grilled chicken on top of Caeser salad. Yum. Came home; relaxed and went to bed.

Saturday; We got up around 8 or so and went to the next town over to buy a fish, as one of the local Indian Bands were there selling them. We got a HUGE one for $20. Yum. Dropped it off at home, and then went over to pick up H to go to the corn maze. His parents came, too, which was nice. We sat and visited and had a bit of lunch, then it was off to the corn maze. You can read about it here. We came home and had a nice relaxing afternoon. We had the fish for supper and watched both the first and second Smurf movies, which were actually quite good.

Sunday; went to churc…

Corn Maze!

I have a few blog posts that I have in my mind that I want to write, but I want to write about our time we had at the corn maze on Saturday.

I am trying to find some fun places (for kids, couples, families) that we can do this fall/winter. I had contacted a local Farm that has a corn maze to see about tickets, times, etc.  Since. I also wanted to bring H, we decided (finally) to go on Saturday. His mom and dad decided to come, too. It was a perfect day, and it wasn't even busy, which made it even better.

Tranquille Farm Fresh is a local farm that first started as a sanitarium (that coincidentally both my great aunt and uncle went to for awhile when the contracted TB), then became a Mental Institution (their words, not mine), and since has become a farm/town of sorts. There are about 100 buildings, either not being lived in (most of them aren't liveable), including three old hospitals, and of course, lots of farm land, perfect for corn mazes!!! Kamloops has been trying to make i…
