Five on Friday

I am getting a head start on this, b/c I am forever procrastinating on doing these posts. Plus, I have at least 5 things from this week that are just awesome!

1) Ear Drops:
Yes, I am old and I get ear infections, so I have a running RX of Ear Drops. I had started getting one in my left ear (mainly to my using ear buds at night while watching/listening to shows on my laptop), and it was really sore on Monday and Tuesday. It wasn't a dull, aching feeling, but more of a soreness around my ear, my jaw and neck. I started on the drops, and some pain meds (I have no DR right now, and I wasn't able to get to a WalkIn Clinic this week), so I was able to (hopefully) catch it in time. My ear hasn't been as sore the last couple of days..so yay!

2) Time with My Nephews
I am LOVING time with H and J. They are hilarious, and H declared me a great Aunty as I was leaving yesterday, so I call that a win! I love that they live so close to stores, and that we are able to walk.

3) Rain/No Smoke
Thankful for some more rain the last couple of days. I love it! And, no smoke!

4) Our Yard and Garden/Books
I spent some time in our yard for the first time in ages earlier this week (Saturday, I think?), and I started a new book called "Anxious for Nothing", by Max Lucado. I have only read a few pages, and I haven't read much this week, but I love it so far. I love me some Max Lucado! I love our yard (most of the time!). Our garden is doing really well, no thanks to me! I also found out that we have sunflowers growing again this summer! Have I mentioned that I LOVE sunflowers?

5) BC Fruit
I finally found some BC Cherries in the store earlier this week (half off!) and some BC Blueberries also, half off!) I looked high and low all around Kamloops, but I only have American-grown fruits (I did buy some WA-cherries, and they were delicious!). Took me half the summer, but whatever! They are so good!! I am munching on the last few of the cherries as I type.

5.1) New Stuff
I bought two new shirts at Mark's this week, and I got two movies for Anker. The shirts and movies were super cheap. I like buying new shirts from places other than Wal-Mart sometimes. We also caved and got a new TV. It was under $200, and I get mine back! #firstworldproblems

Randoms

My p came two weeks early. I hate being perimenopausal. My system has always been crazy, but now it is just insane! I never know when it is coming. Or, I might miss a month or two.
That said, I cannot find my favourite pads anywhere anymore! I finally messaged them yesterday, and they said to try a few other stores, so I will try and look around for them.
I went to my friends bday BBQ last Thursday, and I had a fun time. Plus, the food was delicious!
I take J to our local library's Tiny Tunes, and darn it if the songs get stuck in my head!
That being said, so now is this summer's Roar VBS' theme song.
I love McD's PlayPlace! I can let the kids play and play on my phone watch them!
My brother and his wife and their kids are coming next month, as my cousin (sister of the cousin who came the other wknd), and my childhood friend! Yay! Cannot wait!
My neighbour and I watched Hotel Mumbai last night. Wow! It is a very moving, sad, and powerful film! There are a lot of swears and of course, violence, but if you can handle that, watch it! The acting was incredible! Spoiler Alert/Warning: People die :(
I have been deleting friends off of my FB account. I am finding that I don't know 3/4's of my friends (I have a lot of former TS-playing friends, and I don't play that game anymore), and most of them I never interact with, so I am cutting them loose.
I am getting obsessed with what I share on IG and in blogging. Help! I also want to get some more traffic, likes and followers on my Blog and IG. How does one do that?
It is our 12 year anniversary on Saturday! We are going to my parents for sure next weekend to stay in the B&B, and we might even go this weekend. Other than that, we don't know what else to do. We are cheap!
I bought a watermelon from the store the other day, b/c it was $5. It tasted awful (I should actually take it back). My SIL bought the same one, and it tastes a bit better. Maybe I should have let it sit for a day? I never know how to pick a good watermelon.
I love our library's summer reading program! It is ages 0-adult!! For the adults, you fill in a square for every 15 minutes that you read either the newspaper, magazine, book, or an article on the net, and when it's filled, you hand in to get your name in a draw for stuff!! I am almost done mine! They even have a Read to Me Program for the little ones! There is still a month left for those who want to join!
Can you believe that I haven't gone swimming yet this summer? It's not all my fault, as my parents' pool had bird poop in it (I just found out that their pool is all cleaned up! Yay!). I did get to the beach once with my brother and our cousin, but I didn't end up putting on my swimming suit.
Anker has been busy preserving our fruits and veggies from our garden. Peas, beans, and strawberries! Yum!
Has anyone else been watching W Network's Christmas in July this month? I have watched a few Christmas movies :)
Last night The Washboard Union came and sang at our city's Music in the Park, but by the time I found out about it, I had already made plans with my neighbour to watch that movie, and we would have been too late by the time Anker and I came back from getting our tv, anyway. I have to remember that once a year, our local country station hosts a night that they (along with MITP), called Midsummer Night Jam, and they always bring in a famous singer or band come to sing. Last year was George Canyon, or someone. Another year, it was Dallas Smith.
Anker and I went to KFC for a late lunch, and it was DELICIOUS! Anker had Taco Bell, and he enjoyed his meal, too. We always being out on the town together. Also, we are cheap dates :)
Is there anyone else who could care less about Amazon Prime Day, or any special online shopping day? I haven't online shopped in years. It is just too much time and hassle. I like to touch and feel what I am buying. What if I don't like it, or it doesn't fit?
I think that is all the randoms for now! I keep thinking of/remembering some in my head to write down, and then I forget!

And of course, I remembered some more :)
Can you believe that I have not read through a full book this summer? I know!
A friend of mine is having a sort of a pool party on Saturday, and I might go.
Our church is having a board game party on Friday. I might go to that, too.
We might go to my parents' place this weekend.
Or, I might go and hang out at my friends and dog-sit her dog :) I have a lot of options!
I spent some time reading magazines in the park the other night. It was a beautiful evening!
I have actually done a bit of cleaning this summer! Even a mini purge! Go, me!
Does anyone else think that that movie THE PURGE is about cleaning? Hahaha!
I also cleaned our fridge. Like, really cleaned it!

There are four movies that I want to buy: Leap Year, Julie and Julia (I had it, but I gave it away), Cinderella (Lily Collins), and Beauty and the Beast. Five dollar bins at Walmart-Mart, here I come!
I need to redo ALL of our passwords in a different book. They are a mess, y'all!
I stepped on gum the other day. GUM! And I brought into the car, on both of my pedals. Thankfully, Anker was a dear, and cleaned it up for me. My other sandal is still in the freezer. and its future is still being debated :)
There is the 2nd Annual Busker's Festival is happening this weekend. I might even go to that, too.
I caved and bought some magazines last week. That will probably be the last time I buy them for awhile.

TVs, Baseball, Dogs, Movies, and Tea (But Not Necessarily in Order)

Happy Thursday, Friends! I hope your week is going swimmingly!! Or, you can just keep swimming!!! You got this!

Last weekend was, well, eventful, but uneventful at the same time. I know, weird.

Friday, I slept in and relaxed in the morning. I love my slow and lazy mornings :) Then I went to the library, and to Wall-Mart to grab a few things. I visited my friend, Gracie for a few hours. We watched The Breakfast Club, and let me tell you, that was 2 hrs I will never see again! Ha! I left at around 730, and quickly went home for a few minutes to grab a bite to eat, and then I went to have tea and visit with a friend. I came home at 11 or or so.

Saturday, I slept in again super late. I took my friend up, and we grabbed some snacks, and went to her sister's to watch a movie. We watched Identity Thief, which was ok, but it had a lot swearing. I went back home and watched a movie,  and then I sat outside for an hour reading. I probably came back inside and watched TV/movies. I am watching "The Story Behind" series, and I really like it. I have watched ones about ER, Friends, Full House, and Everybody Loves Raymond, so I might have watched one or two eps of those.

Sunday, I went to church, and then I went to Starbucks to journal, and to write a (long, overdue) birthday card for/to my gramma. I also ended up talking to my aunt for an hour or so, which was fun. Our town got a new Starbucks (as if we need another, but I am not sad about it) downtown (our town now has two downtown), and I sat outside, which was lovely. Every couple of weeks or so, our church has a "pick up game" of Softball. It was BEAUTIFUL outside, so I thought I would go and watch. I caught the last hour of the "game", and it was nice to connect with different people in our church. It was at the game, that Anker called and said that our large TV died. He wanted to get a new one, and I said not until his payday. It was not a life or death situation, especially, sine we have another smaller tv that he could use, and I am not home a lot of the time right now, anyway. I went home, grabbed my stuff, and went to my friend's house, where I dog-sat for the night. I sat on her deck, and blogged, and just sat and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the park near by. A local church (where a lot of my friends go) was having their Block Party there, so I was able "be" there, just by listening. Also, between their outside lights and their palm leaf plants, it felt like I was in Hawaii, so that was cool. I also talked to Vienna for an hour or so. I went to sleep at around 12 or 1 am :) I had ice cream and fresh raspberries for dessert. #nationalicecreamday, indeed!
I have been really had at journaling this year. I have been working on this journal for about 2 years!

The next morning, I had breakfast alfresco and read for a bit. I was also starting to get an ear infection, but I have a running RX on drops, so I was able to start on a treatment for that. My ear was really sore (including all around my ear, and jaw and neck, so I knew that it was an infection, and not just a sore ear) on Monday and Tuesday, but it THANKFULLY, getting better now! I took Anker to his eye appt, and we grabbed a late lunch together.

Tie-Dye, Turning Point, Tacos, Tarts, & Time with Family and Friends

Don't you just love the title! I came up with that all by myself. You're welcome! This is about last weekend, but it is my blog, so I can do what I want, right?

I will try to do this in (semi) point form and in order...with pictures. You know, to make it fun n crap!

So, last Thursday, the 11th, I went to my parents' for a few days. Anker didn't want to come, and someone needed to stay behind to water the garden, so it was just me.

1) Tie-Die:
I went and gave in to the Tie-Die Frap craze, and it was gross. I am sorry, but it was! I WAS pretty, though. I gotta say! I got this on my way out of town, and I did KIND OF grow on me..sort of.

2) Turning Point:
I started another Danielle Steel book (yes, I realize that there are other authors out there!), called Turning Point (which, I have not continued from when I finished up), which is pretty good. I spent a lot of the day Friday reading :)

3) Tacos:
For dinner on Friday (?), we had tacos for dinner, and they were delicious!!!

4) Tarts:
Mom made some tarts for church (for an upcoming project), and she wanted us to test taste them. I wasn't sad about it.

5) Time with Family and Friends
I spent some of Friday reorganizing Mom's very old cookbook. It only took me 3 or 4 hours! We had some visits, and we watched a movie (b/c she was tired, we ended up watching it on two nights), and hung out.  I came back into town on Saturday, partly so that I could visit with my cousin and his wife, who were staying at A and Ks. I was hoping that Anker would join me, but wasn't feeling well, so I went right to their house as soon as I came into town. We visited for a couple of hours, and then I went home. Sunday, I went to church, and then to our church BBW (fun fact: I have been going to my current church for nearly two years now!), which was totally fun. Then I went to see what everyone at A and Ks was up to, and they were just headed to the park, and they asked me to go with them. Of course, I did! I don't know why I didn't put on my bathing suit on, but I didn't, but I had fun, anyway. We had pizza on the beach, and then wen to the local (and only!) ice cream parlour just down the street. We watched the kids play, and we adults visited.

Sisters' Road Trip: Calgary or Bust Edition (July 13-16, 2018)

Well, it is has now been 8 months since my sister and I went to Calgary for our grandma's 85th birthday, and I am just now writing about it. I have a bunch of pictures that I took from it as well, and they are on my FB (some of them are on IG, but I STILL have yet to upload those..#springbreakblogginggoals)! Yah, well, what can you do???

I don't remember the FULL back story as why we went other than it being her 85th, but I think Vienna said something about going back to Calgary, and since it would be her 85th, in July, she would try to go then, and she also ended up speaking to a church about her mission work that same weekend. She asked me to come with her, since we would have some time together, and she didn't want to drive out alone (who would?), and since I had time off :) I am NEVER one to say no to a road trip (well, almost never!), so I jumped at the chance!

Thursday, I drove to Mom and Dad's, as Vienna wanted to go through the National Park way.

This can also be titled "That time we went to Calgary, and I am just post about it a year later".
Oh.My.Gosh. It has now been over a year, and I am STILL in the middle of posting about our trip last year. Goody! Anyway.....I am determined to post about this, b/c it is worth noting, and plus it was the last real sister time before she left to the Far East. I am uploading some pics of the trip on IG (finally!).

So, back to the trip. I left town on Thursday evening, as she wanted to go the North Route. We left at around 8 or so (ok, I am guessing at this point, but that is probably when we left). It started out really nice, and then it rained. Hard. We stopped at Valemount for snacks, and then we lunch in the car in Jasper, b/c it was STILL raining! Oh, and we picked up some Tim Horton's, b/c what is The Great Canadian Road Trip without some? The next part of our trip went pretty uneventful. We had a few stops, and we had a lovely chat (I am sure we did...we always do!). Then, here is when/where our trip gets interesting! I think we had stopped in Banff for a short potty break, and as we were leaving, we were having a hard time steering, and it was making a weird noise. We drove along to Canmore (next town), to see what was going on. We were still having problems, so we called our dad, and he didn't really know what was wrong, either. We decided to limp over to a gas station, that also had a McD's attached to it (yay!), where we called our mechanic, who did his best to figure out what was over the phone. We thought it might be the power steering, so we bought some power steering fluid. We drove it around the parking lot for a few minutes, and we were having a really hard time steering. We decided to call a tow truck, when the car wouldn't turn on after turning it off. We waiting around for 2 or 3 hours, b/c we missed said tow truck, and they had my home number instead of my cell number.  We ate dinner. We sat outside. We sat inside. We read magazines. We read books. We played on our phones. We talked. We got (a bit) angry. We laughed (b/c it is more fun to laugh than to get angry). Vienna worked on her speech for Sunday (see next paragraph). We texted. We called people. We people watched. I am sure that people watched (and wondered about) us! We even had a call from my friend in Kamloops asking if they could pick us up! We finally got picked up at around 9 (after I called two or three times to ask what happened), and we hoped and prayed that we wouldn't get murdered or go missing before we got to Calgary! The tow truck dropped her car and us at Canadian Tire (the nearest auto shop), and she was told (she she called them earlier in the evening to tell them that she would be probably bringing the car in that evening) that they would call her the next day when the car was fixed. She dropped the keys off in the drop box, and we prayed that it would be safe overnight. Our uncle came at 11 to pick us up, and we fell into bed at midnight. Fun times!

The next day was Grandma's bday party, so we were there for about 11 or so the next morning. The party was really nice and it was held where G and G were living (due to Grandpa dying in March, Gramma moved back to where she/they lived before) in a common room. We had scones and tea and the great grandkids served the tables. It was really dear. That was the last time (that wknd) that I saw G and G together before he left this earth, and I loved seeing them together! He always had such a great love for her, and he would brighten up whenever she came into the room. It was so wonderful to witness! Vienna and I went up to Grandma's apartment (she lived in a separate wing from Grandpa), where she opened cards, and was surprised to find an A/C for her place (which, didn't end up working, but no matter!), and we had a short visit. Grandma suggested that we come back later that evening for dinner with her and Grandpa and a visit. We had hoped to have supper with them during our trip back in March, but due to weather (which never happened), and my having an appointment (I was going through some health stuff during that time, and we were trying to figure out what it was, and they wanted me to have a CT) that couldn't be rescheduled, we had to cancel. So, we were super happy when Grandma suggested that we come back that evening. After the party (where I got to talk with people who I hadn't seen in ages!), Vienna got the call to pick up her car. Our uncle had lent us his, in case we needed to drive around town in it (which was super-sweet of him, especially we are not experienced in driving in large cities!), in the off-chance that her car wouldn't be ready. We picked up the car (where she paid way too much to get it fixed, IMHO), and drove back to our aunt and uncle's place. We then went aaaallllllll the way down to Southwest Calgary, so that Vienna could ship a box of her stuff ahead of her to The Philippines. You can send ANY size and weight of box for $100, or something!! It is crazy cheap! We quickly met up a friend of mine, so that I could drop something off to her, and we visited for 20 minutes. Then, we went to Market Mall, and we had some late lunch, and wandered around a bit. We went back to their place for supper and a visit, and we were/are SO glad that we did, was that was really the last time that I had spent time with him (though, we did visit them a bit the next day). We got back around 8 or 9, and we relaxed and went to sleep early (probably...or not!).

Sunday, we went to church where we had both gone (at different times) while/when we were living Calgary. Our uncle was the lead the pastor until a few years ago, when he stepped down to retire. Afterwards, Vienna talked with the Filipino church that also meets there about her plans to go back to The Philippines. I ended up going to Euphoria Cafe to spend $10 on two sprigs of lettuce and a small piece of piece of turkey. It was very good, though, and the coffee was delicious! Afterwards, we went to see Gramma and Grandpa again for an hour or so. We went to Lics, and ice cream parlour that hs been around for a 100 years or something (ok, since 1982). They have amazing ice cream, and we grabbed a couple of pints for dinner. Well, not for dinner, but for after dinner. We had left over BBQ ribs that we had missed two nights ago, due to our car shenanigans. It was SO GOOD! Funny that I can remember what we had for dinner a year ago, but I can't remember what we did the evening of the party :)??!! We played a game called Ticket to Ride, which was really fun!

Monday morning, we left (after gassing up and getting a few groceries for our lunch) town. Oh yes, as we were driving out, someone signaled to us that her gas cap was off :) So, ya, we had to pull over and that baby back on (at least I THINK that was that trip....it might have been the trip back in March). We had a wonderful drive back home. We took the North route again, even though I warned her that her car might die...but all was well :) We had a slight wait in Canmore (yes, Canmore again!) for the Park Pass Toll Gate. I think we waited around a half hour in line. The whole trip back was SO NICE (compared to the somewhat rainy trip there!)!! We had a picnic in Banff National Park, and then we continued on our travels. Vienna drove for most of the way, I think. She is a very good driver, and she doesn't scare me when she drives! Ha!

We pulled into the ranch at around 8 or 9pm (you gain an hour coming back..Yay!), and I am pretty sure that I went for a swim. I stayed overnight at our parents', and I came home the next day (I think??).

Wow! That has taken me FOREVER to write! I am thankful to/for Vienna for reminding of a bunch of things that I had forgotten (like the dinner what G&G)!! I guess we are sisters!!! If you are STILL with me..congrats! Thank you for taking who knows how long to read this post :)

I will leave you with one picture, and the rest will be on IG/FB (or they will be going on there soon, if they aren't on there already!).
Before we knew any better :)
Us waiting  for a million years for the tow truck!! Also, I miss that pink top of mine!
Took him long enough to get there!! We were wondering about sleeping in the car!!

Five on Friday

Happy Thursday! Wow...has it ever been BUSY! Part of it that I WANT to be busy, and part of it is that it just IS! And that's ok! I have been housesitting, babysitting, meeting friends for coffee....the list goes on! It never ends! I was going to go to the ranch this wknd, but I think I will just be home (and be busy here!), and, well, hang out! Ok....it now Friday :)

1) Family/Beach/Ice Cream/Park Time
This last Sunday (after our church picnic/BBQ), I went and met up with my brother and our cousin and their families at a local beach/park. I don't know why I didn't put on my bathing suit, as I even had it with me, but I didn't, but I still had a great time, anyway.  We had Fresh Slice Pizza on the beach, and it was delicious! Afterwards, we went to Scoopz for ice cream. We walked to the park, and we sat and visited and watched the kids play.

2) Pedicure
A few years ago, my SIL had promised me that we would do a pedicure together. We never never ended up going, due to our schedules, and it was forgotten. I don't normally do this, but I gently reminded (asked?) her that she had promised me a pedicure, mainly b/c I "needed" one! She was ever so gracious, and gave me a GC to/for a local nail salon in town. She would have gone with me, but she had just recently gotten her pedicure done, so I went alone. Pink With Envy is a place that I would HIGHLY recommend! I would go back in a heartbeat. I ended up getting a Signature Pedi which included callus removal, cuticle clean up/shaping, massage, and polish. It was an hour to the minute, and they were awesome! The chairs were super comfortable they were also massaging ones!

3) Coffee date with my friend/New Starbucks
On Tuesday, my friend and I went to/for coffee at a new Starbucks in town. Yes, our small city of under 100K, has opened up yet another Starbucks! Yet, there still isn't one in our area of town...I know..weird. Anyway, we love the new store downtown, and I had the Honey Lavender Latte, and it was really good.

4) Dayte with Anker
On Wednesday, I had my annual breathing test, and Anker ended up coming with me. Were planning on running some errands, and going for coffee, but we ended up going to Frenchies Poutinerie, and it was SO GOOD!!! We have gone twice now, and it has been delicious both times. It is a bit expensive, but you get HUGE portions, and the fries are delish! We ran a few errands afterwards, and came home.

5) Time with Nephews
I am looking after my two nephews two mornings (plus a bit more sometimes) this summer, and it has really been fun. I love spending time with them. We went to the library and to McDs one day. Yesterday, we spent some of the morning inside, and then went out and played baseball. It also helps to have a nice patio set to relax on!
                                                             I love me a PlayPlace!

6) Popcorners
I think I have found my new addiction. It is a good thing that I don't have a Costco membership, or I would be going there ALL.THE.TIME and grabbing these babies!! Yum!

7) Rain
It has been raining a bit, and I am not sad about it. It is better than smoke and fires!!!

8) Cleaning our Fridge
Yes, I do clean up our around our house sometimes! On Tuesday, I cleaned out our fridge...complete with taking out the shelves and bins. It looks good, y'all!

9) Garden Food
We have been getting lots of veggies already from our garden! Currently, we have beans and peas!
Can you say "yum"??!!!

10) Books
I am trying to read more books again (other than just magazines), and I hoping to start on a book by Max Lucado, and I have a couple of Danielle Steel books on the go.

11) Variety
My/our summer has been filled with a variety of things....being busy, babysitting, visiting friends, relaxing. Love it!!!

Linking up with Della Devoted for High Five for Friday, and Andrea @ Momfessionals for Friday Favo(ur)ites!

(Note: This has taken me over 2 hours to put together, btwn links and photos!)

The Last Day of School, and Canada Day Weekend

Well, I do realize that we are well into July, but I am still going to write about the end of school and Canada Day, anyway.

The last day of school finally came! Actually, due to unforeseen circumstances, I actually missed the last day and half of school (I did go in 12-4 on Tuesday). I was really sad about it, but it couldn't be helped. I did go in on Thursday to gather any end of the year gifts, and say goodbye to people (I actually cleaned up my stuff on Tuesday). The last week of June was busy, as we were dealing with some family health issues, and I was helping and supporting my aunt. Thursday night, my other aunt and I had sushi together and then we wandered around Chapters to look for some gifts. I was able to go to our Farewell Brunch on Friday, and say goodbye to everyone properly, and I sort of helped in getting stuff ready to move to another classroom.

That weekend, I house/cat/garden sat for my friend, which was fun. I enjoyed being on my own, and I loved sitting outside and enjoying the cool air. I read a lot of magazines, and I watched some movies. I finally watched Crazy Rich Asians, which I really liked. The day before Canada Day, my friend, Alicia and I met at Starbucks (ok, so I was there early, and I might have gulped my drink before she came in!), and went to a park for a short walk. We had a nice visit, and it was great to catch up. She was my closest friend when I worked at my last job, and we connect either through texting or coffee/tea time fairly often.
I got the Seriously Strawberry (or similar to) Frap, and it was SO GOOD!

On Canada Day, Anker and I decided to try to do some bird watching in the same park where I walked the day before.  which really didn't amount to anything, but we had fun, anyway. We had stopped off to grab a Wendy's meal before going to said park. We wandered around the park for an hour or two, and it was nice. On our way home, we grabbed a Tim Horton's iced cap to share.
It was warmer than it looks :) We had a nice walk and talk, though.

Afterwards, I met my friends for coffee, and then I think I went back to my friend's house. I think I relaxed for the rest of the day. Funny story: I was sitting outside waiting for the fireworks to start, but when they didn't, I went back inside. I decided to have a bath, and as I was having a bath, I heard banging! I thought someone was in the house (or maybe family had let themselves in)! I realized after coming down (clearly, I had to put on my PJs before going down to see what was going on!) that it was the fireworks! Yah, I am that awesome!

The first week of July had me (us) relaxing and doing a few errands. I got our oil changed, had coffee with friends, babysat the boys, went on a mini shopping and pampering spree....and of course, reading! While I was getting our oil changed, I thought I would stop at DQ to grab something to eat. I ended up getting their Canada Day Blizzard (even though it was after Canada Day), and it was pretty good!!!

So, in reality, our Canada Day wasn't too eventful, and I wasn't sad about it! It was nice relaxing and not having a lot to do (or a lot of places to go) that day. We thought about going to the Park, but there is always so many people there, and it really isn't that fun. Most everything is the same year after year. It was hot and muggy, anyway. It was nice just to relax and not be rushing around to be somewhere or being around a million people.

Well, this has taken a few days to finish, so I will finish this one off now, so it can be published. It has been nice the last few days, as it has been cooler, and this morning (July 18), and yesterday, which we needed. I am ready for some nice hot weather, so I can go for a swim at the beach :)

Here are some more random pictures :) Yes, I am getting obsessive again! The Friday before the last day of school (we went a couple of days longer this year), we had a class party, and I took a bunch of food, and we ate and watched a movie. Also, I went to an Epicure the week prior, and my order came in at the end of the day on Friday :)

We had the Big Burger sauce with our burgers that nights and it was SO GOOD!!!!

For our Farewell Brunch, I brought along some Donut Stix (similar to Churros), to the party. Everyone thought I was weird, but, I didn't care, and they were good!

And my Aunt and I went for Sushi the last week of June (see above), and it was SO GOOD!!!

The end of the year gifts I got from parents and my teacher :)

My teacher gave me this bag, and I have to admit, I wasn't sure that I would use it, but I use as my overnight bag :)

The end of the year student gifts. They know me well.

One of the kids gave me this lantern :)

One of the students gave me a David's Tea summer tea set, and it is really good. I tried it with some San Palligrenino, and it took it to a whole other level.

And finally .......

Tim Horton's had a Canada Day donut....it was ok, but VERY sweet! If you want to see more of my pictures, head on over to my IG page.
