Five on Friday!

Happy Thursday night, Friends!!! I hope you are all having a great wk! I am SO happy that it's Thursday!!! We have a 4 day wknd, and for that, I am VERY grateful! Read on to find out what else has me happy!

                                              1) Four Day Wknd:

Need I say more? I am very excited!! Some of my family are going to my cousins wedding on Sunday! I love me a road trip!

                                                                2) Great Finds:

I found some great finds at VV today! I actually had these pair of sandals years back, and I loved them!!! I don't know that I wear them all day at work, but at least I have another pair to wear if and when needed. I found two pairs of Capri's. I know they are kind of ugly, but I figure I might as well wear them, and wear my nice pair at work and events.

3) Back to Blogging/Journalling:

 I seem to be back to blogging. Yay! I also journalled for the first time in ages yesterday! It felt good!!

4) Park/Outside Time:

Yesterday, I sat outside doing said above blogging and and reading a bit. On Mother's Day, I spent time outside for a couple of hours.

                                                              5) Warmer Temps.

In case you haven't noticed, it has been HOT around these parts lately! It got up to 32c the other day, I think. It is supposed to cool down this weekend, and I am not super-sad about it.

I am still Alive

I am still alive! I just haven't been in a blogging mood lately. I seem to be doing a lot of InstsStories :) Hop on over to take a look. They are always suuuuper interesting! Ha!

I am excited!!

I know people are saying that it is "summer", and yes, it has been hot temps, but really, guys...summer doesn't start until June 21, and we are all out of school!!! Ha! Yes, I know...it is summer in our hearts and minds, right? I have a new name this season..."strummer". I have been having a cold that keeps trying to come back. It is really annoying, and I wish that it would go away. Our cat ran off not last Sunday, but two Sundays ago. Fun times. She NEVER has done that before. We think it was b/c the front door was left open. Anker found her the next morning all scared. Poor thing. We were both upset about it on Sunday night. We drove around looking for her at 10 pm. That was not very fun. And also hard to find a dark cat at night. Anker found her in between the retaining wall and fence in our complex. 

Not much has been happening (well, other than Kitty running off)....I was going to do a couple of weekend wrap ups, but I can't remember what weekends they were for, and I can't really remember what I did! Ha! This last wknd was good, though, I think. I looked after my nephew on Saturday for a few hours, and then I hung out in the evening. Sunday, I stayed home from church, and I listened to worship music, and then sat outside and read for a couple of hours. Then I ran some errands and came home and made rice krispy squares with Anker. My teacher's birthday was on Monday, so I asked the art teacher if the kids could make her a card last week, and I made some treats :) We ended up making 2 and a half batches! Yum! I just relaxed in the evening. I watched TV and played on the computer. I actually DID manage to do some cleaning today....as well as over the weekend. I cleaned a spot of clutter in our kitchen floor that had been bugging me for ages, and I did laundry. Tonight, I cleaned the bathroom really quick, and I dusted. I NEVER dust, but I needed to. I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend! Another cousin is getting married (the twin to the cousin that got married in December), a couple of cities away, and Mom, Vienna, and Isaac and I are going. We are headed out on Sunday (that is when the wedding is), and staying until Monday, and then our family is having a little gathering in a local park. It should be a fun day! Friday and Saturday I don't have have any plans. Yay! Well, it is past my bedtime, so I will close off now, and hopefully will write more in the next day or so. I still have to blog about our Calgary trip!

I was realizing the other day just on how happy my life is (well, for the most part) right now! I am feeling MUCH better (yay!), and it is summer (or whatever you want to call it), and school is almost over. Life is pretty good...I gotta say. Not perfect, but pretty good! There will also be hurt and sadness...and disappointments, and money issues, and marriage issues...and people will let you down....but for the most part....it's not bad.

Oh...here is a little Social Media Factoid about me: I follow over 5,000 pages on FB, I have 1400 FB friends, I follow 7500 people on IG, and I follow over 240 blogs. Don't even get me started on Pinterest! 

Also, a lot of my IG/Blogging friends say that they have 12 weeks off in the summer? I guess we have 9....but still.....:)

Friday Favourites

Here are some faves from the last while:

 I had a sushi date with myself on Tuesday, and it was SO GOOD!!!! I had gone to get our oil changed and I had a Tupperware meeting, so I didn't want to go home (and risk not wanting to go out again). So, I ran a few errands and was craving sushi, and it was delicious!!

I also bought a new shirt on Tuesday night. I really like it, and I got a lot of compliments at work on on yesterday. I buy a good chunk of my clothes at Walmart.

On Wednesday, after my specialist appointment, I spent a couple of hours at the park. It was a glorious day, and I had fun reading!! Also, the chicken wings at 7-11 are really good!!

I also got a few things from my Tupperware Team meeting. I bought into a prize raffle, and I won a sparkly bowl, and we all got a water bottle for coming.

I also went to Starbucks on Thursday as I had a coupon for half off on any Frap. I got the Ultimate Caramel Frappucino. Oh my goodness! It was delicious!!

.....and this was me yesterday at my work....

...I love my job :) We took the kids to the park for an hour, since it was such a nice day. We watched them play soccer and on the playground. Fun times!!

May 2018 Photo Challenge

I am saw on Erika's blog that she and another blogger that I follow Shay are doing a Photo-A-Day in May on IG! I haven't done a photo challenge in awhile, so I thought I would do this one (most of them are for a month). Hop on over to either of their IG accounts (links will be in their profiles), and join on in! Since two of them are Americana (Red, White and Blue, and Memorial Day), I have chosen to do Red and White, and Victoria Day instead.  But hey, if you want to do the three colours, and talk about Memorial Day, then there's no judging here!!!

Weekend at the Ranch

Last wknd, I went to the ranch, as I hadn't been there since Christmas, and it was lambing season (when all the ewes have their babies), and I wanted get in on it before it was over. This will mostly be a picture post, as I really didn't do a whole ton.

Friday: I came home, grabbed my stuff, ran some errands, and left. Anker wasn't feeling well, so he stayed home. I was a bit bummed, but when he is feeling bad, it is better for him to stay home than to be around people. There was construction on the road, but I didn't get delayed (I did, however pick up a screw somewhere along the way!). Once a month, the church has a movie night. Mom and Dad were going, and they told me they were, but I didn't think I was going to go, as I had seen the movie before (which normally doesn't stop me, but I didn't know if I wanted to be around people). I went and I really enjoyed watching the movie (Miracles from Heaven) again, and I even got a free copy of it (and Heaven is For Real)! We came home, Dad, V, I, and myself had a visit, which was fun. I went to bed, didn't sleep well, b/c of my having caffeine later in the day.

Saturday: I woke up at 9, and I did various things. I ate breakfast, hung out and had a nice visit with Mom, looked at the lambs, wandered around, went inside, as it was cold, went back outside, visited with people (we have people who come and see the lambs, and 4 different families that I knew came down, so I visited with them), wandered around the ranch, and helped Mom make supper, had supper, and then we watched some TV(not necessarily in that order). I went to bed late again, but I did sleep a bit later.

Sunday: Slept in, ate, got ready, church. I left shortly after church, and went back out. I visited with whoever was around, took pics, went back to the house, got ready to go; had Dad put more air in my tire, had tea and a visit around 5, and then came home. I ran a few errands, and got a pizza and got home around 8. It was a nice few days at the ranch, and we were going to back this last wknd, but we decided against it.

Ok...I wrote more than I thought I was going to :)

I had bought a red top awhile back, and I got something on it that won't come off, so I got another one in blue. I love it!!!

 Jersey Day was earlier this month, in memory of the Humbolt Broncos tragedy, and since a lot of us at school didn't have jersey's, one of the parents brought some in for the staff to wear.

 I found this recipe in a magazine for chocolate peanut butter cups. OMGoodness, they were SO GOOD!!!
