As to not inundate my blog readers with MANY posts, I will try to combine a couple. This will not be one of those posts :)
(I am also going to work back chronologically in my blog posts...not sure if you will notice or not, but since I started with FoF, and BBTB...which the link will be official next Thursday...I will go back most recent to not so recent).
It seems in the recent years, that Vday has become more of a kid/family holiday. Another holiday that makes me sad, b/c we don't have any children to share it with. It would be different if I had a couple of kids (nieces, nephews, etc) we could make Vday's for (and I have in the past..last year was kind of fun, b/c I made VDay cards for the kid in my practicum), or take out or whatever, but since we don't have that, well, it makes for a bit of a sad holiday. Just another reminder that we don't have kids. I have seen A LOT of bloggers/blog post post about VDay, and most of them (I think) revolve around their kids, and how they all celebrated it as a family.
So, considering how our last few VDay's have gone, this last one wasn't so bad. You can read about the disastrous Vdays here, here, and here. Actually, last years wasn't that bad.
Since Anker wasn't feeling well (more on that in my next post), I wasn't expecting much to happen. In the past, I have kind of left it up to him to do, which, to be fair, isn't always a good thing. I tried to sleep in, but I woke up at 7:30 am, and I hung out, and then I went out for VDay SBX (see my FoF post on that). I had them made me a pink hot chocolate, and read my mags. I was going to my other job as a mothers helper, so I decided to just stay out. I ran a few errands, and I bought hubby dollar store gifts (aren't those the best kind?) and a card, along with getting the kids I help with a few gifts, and then headed off to my job. I thought I would come home to bed, but I got a second wind, so I went to the library, and came home and relaxed.
I knew by this time that Anker wasn't going to plan anything, nor had he got me anything (ya, don't get me started on that), so I decided that I would make something happen. I went and got Chinese food from our favourite place, brought it back, lit candles and we ate in the living room. We watched the news, and some of the Olympics, and by then, Anker was feeling horrible. I didn't take any pictures (I did take one of gifts, just today), b/c I kind of forgot. There wasn't much to take of, anyway.
My friend/neighbour came over for a minute, and we talked about getting together, so with Anker's blessing (he was going to bed), I hung out with her for the rest of the evening. We watched a show on NF, and then went to WM (because that IS our weekly routine, it seems..I know, we are wild and crazy). We came home around 10, and watched more shows, ate popcorn, and read magazines. It actually wasn't a terrible day, and we had a fun time catching up.
So, that was our VDay 2014!!!

SUYL-Date Ideas, and a Weekly update
Happy Good Friday, and welcome to my blog! If you are linking/coming from Kelly 's Korner Blog, you will know that I will be talking about date ideas.
My hubby and I have been together for nearly 7 yrs!! We have been married 6 of those. We met online, and married within a year of meeting each other. Probably not the smartest thing I never did, but we did it!
So, date ideas....I asked him about his favourite date ideas this morning, and he said the same thing I said, which I guess is a good thing! We are usually pretty broke, and boring, so we don't have the most exciting dates, but we do try to get out at least once a week. We find that the summer is easier to get out, as we can grab a Slurpee, and go to our faviourite park and sit by the Bird Sancturary (which is actually a pond filled with birds), and sit and talk. We also love taking road trips together. Some of our best visits have been when we were driving. We also love talking in bed, and in the morning, after he gets home from work, and if I don't have a school day, or am not busy, we can sit and talk for a few minutes. We als will sit and watch a C@nucks (or any) hockey game together. I rarely can sit through an entire game, but I will sometimes have my laptop, and that will keep me happy while the game is on. We also love doing errands together. We will do a few things, and grab lunch at a fast food place and just sit and visit. Sometimes, we will go for coffee at St@rbucks and read the paper together. We have also (tho I think only once) have re-created our first date. We also love taking trips together and camping (in a tent). You can learn a lot about sometime when you camp:) Well, as far as dates go, I think that is about it:)
So, for an update..I haven't done this for awhile....so here goes...
Yesterday, I told you about my ear infection, and about my day, so I won't talk about that again..Wednesday, I got up early, and I studied at the school with my classmates for a pretty major test. I failed the last one, so I was pretty stressed about this one. I hope I passed..I think I did..:) I was going to go home (which I probably should have done, due to my ear being sore) but I met up with my SIL at the mall (the only good one in town), and hung out with her for awhile. We exchanged her phone, and I got some clothes for Bebop for his bday. We grabbed a snack, and wandered around, which was nice. I got home, and I hung out on my laptop, and then my ear got bad again. I could barely get ready for bed.Tuesday, I met up with SIL for coffee at, you guessed it St@rbucks for coffee. I did a bit of studying for my sign language test that evening. I went to my DR to have him check out my ear. I went to grab something to eat, and went to the school to do a bit more studying for the test. I grabbed supper and came home. I just relaxed for the evening. Monday, I woke up early, and went to the school and printed off my paper that was due that morning. I went to my classes, and I went to a friends house to help her with her new business. That is when my ear started to hurt...bad!! I barely got home, and I shouldn't have been driving! I came home, and I went straight to bed (as I did on Wednesday). Sunday, we didn't go to church (I know..bad), and I went out and I studied for a bit. I came home, and we watched THE BIBLE (which is good, btw). Well, I won't go any further than that..b/c I can't remember what else happened:) Other than my ear infection, and being stressed over school, it was a good week.
I can't believe that I have 850 views on my blog!!

A Trip to the ER
Well, I know, two updates just two days apart. Shocking!! I really wanted to write more the other night, but I was just too tired!! The last couple of days have been interesting!!
Two nights ago, I decided to try a new recipe, called Shrimp Stroganoff (SP??). Anyway, it was good, but a bit spicy, but I can usually handle abit of spice! (BTW, the recipe was out of "Company's Coming" book "Fish and Seafood". Anyway, I started getting a stomach-ache. That part didnt worry me too much, but when I work up at 4am the next day, I had REALLY bad cramps!! Also, they radiated around to my back. I dealt with that all day, they would come in spasms, and then go away. I hardly slept. During the day, I did manage to get a few things done, but then it got worse, at about 5pm, I finally decided to go to the walk in clinic just down the road. He (at 8 pm) told me to go down to the ER to get X-rays, etc, done. He was afraid it could be a bowel obstruction. Esp w/ all my adhesions from my scars. So, armed w/ a magazine, I braved the long night in the ER. It was quite an adventure, let me tell you. I must say that it was a very interesting night!! It was a great time to people watch!! Anyway, I finally saw the doctor about 1:30 or so. By this time (well, even when I got there at 8), I was feeling better, as I had taken Tylenol, just to dull the pain. The pain wasn't as severe, and the spasms had all but stopped. I am glad it wasn't as bad, but, at the same time, it was frustrating, b/c you want the doctor to get a full picture on how you are feeling. Anyway, he finally said that everything looked ok, and that it may have been something I ate (why do they say that?? And they say it like you have just downed a full pizza, or something). I was not amused!! I am seeing my family DR tomorrow, and I really want an Ultra-sound. I had called my aunt, who is a nurse, earlier in the day, and she said it may be a gallbladder attack. The X-Rays didn't show anything, but my blood test had a hight WBC, which the DR didn't seem too concerned about. I felt kind of silly going down there, but at the same time, I am glad I did, cause if I didn't I may have gotten worse, or I would have just worried about it. I was told to just stick w/ bland foods, but I already had a sub today. Does that count??
Well, I am sure this is much too long of a post!! Maybe a bit too TMI?? Nothing I wouldn't tell you all in person, I don't think!!
I basically slept today, as I got home at 5 am:) I basically have slept the last couple of days away. I did go on errands w/ Anker today, and I could feel the pain when I walked. Oh well:)
It has been really sunny today, which has been great!! I wished I could have gone on a long walk! Maybe on the weekend.
Just a few other notes:I am attending a Ladies Bible study, which meets every Thursday. I am really enjoying that. I didn't go today, b/c of my not feeling well. I will be going to do my weigh-in tomorrow. I am not in KidsLife anymore, as my heart wasn't really in it. Also, w/ Anker's wierd sleeping and working hours, I just felt better to not be involved.
I have really being feeling the pressure (from myself), to get a job the last few days. (maybe this pain was from stress, but I don't think so).Unfortunately, w/ my being sick (my ear infection as well as this), I really haven't been doing alot. We need new brakes for the car, and we really want to enroll in Melaleuca. We both could use the supplemants. Also, I want to start saving for my insurance course, as well as just regular daily life. I hope to work on my resume this weekend.
That about covers it for now. I would write more, but I am sure you won't be inerested in hearing all about it!! LOL.
